Alfredo pasta

  Alfredo pasta with sauce




To make chicken Alfredo, you'll need the following ingredients and follow these general steps:

Ingredients:


  1. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  2. 8 oz (about 2 cups) of fettuccine pasta
  3. 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  4. 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  5. 1 cup of heavy cream
  6. 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  7. 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  8. Salt and pepper to taste
  9. Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions:

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until it's no longer pink in the center and has a nice golden brown color on both sides (usually about 6-7 minutes per side). Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.


In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn.


Reduce the heat to medium-low, then add the heavy cream and butter to the skillet. Stir constantly until the butter has melted and the mixture starts to simmer.


Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.


Meanwhile, cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until it's al dente. Drain the pasta.


Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips.


Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the Alfredo sauce in the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are coated evenly with the sauce.


Allow everything to heat through for a few minutes.


Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
